Because of love Chapter 10

Chapter 10
Chapter 10

 Shen Yu: “...”

Lin Hao was dumbfounded. He stammered, “I’m not lying, I really, really haven’t… for four years…”

Shen Yu smiled, all the shadows in his eyes swept away, his expression full of the gentle warmth of their youth. “I know.”

When it came to this sort of thing, Lin Hao would never lie. If he really hadn’t been able to perform, he’d never admit it unless it was true.

This was the same guy who’d clutch his pillow and tremble after a horror movie but still refuse to admit he was scared.

Lin Hao let out a breath of relief, mumbling as he looked down, “How did it suddenly get better? That’s so weird.”

Shen Yu didn’t dare meet his eyes. He helped Lin Hao straighten his clothes and said, “It’s late. Let’s go to sleep.”

Lin Hao looked at him. “Sleep together?”

Shen Yu replied, “Mm.” His voice was light and airy, just like how he felt inside.

Honestly, Lin Hao had probably climbed into Shen Yu’s bed more times than he’d ever crawled into his mom’s as a kid.

Back then, Mr. Lin had insisted on “Western parenting” (mostly to keep his wife to himself). By three months old, Lin Hao was booted to his own crib, and after weaning, straight to the nursery—never allowed to interrupt his parents’ “quality time.”

So Lin Hao had always slept alone—until he met Shen Yu.

They’d known each other since they were three or four. The first time Lin Hao stayed over at Shen Yu’s house, he slept right in Shen Yu’s bed.

From then on, they’d shared a bed more times than they could count.

But now, lying together felt completely different.

Ten minutes later, Lin Hao whispered, “Shen Yu… what do I do? It’s still… up…”

Shen Yu’s mouth went dry. By the time he came to his senses, the two of them were already pressed close.

“Don’t be scared,” Shen Yu said, his voice hoarse. “It won’t be like last time.”

And it really wasn’t. That night, Lin Hao had been in agony; tonight, he felt like he was floating on air.

Before falling asleep, Shen Yu held him tightly, softly calling his name.

Lin Hao, eyes half-closed, mumbled back, “Alright, alright, you’ve called me a hundred times already.”

Shen Yu fell silent.

Lin Hao sobered up a little and suddenly sighed, “These past four years, I kept dreaming of you—dreaming of you calling my name.”

He really had been calling him, every moment, in his heart.

And now, he could finally say it out loud.

“Lin Hao…” Shen Yu called his name again.

This time, Lin Hao didn’t get annoyed. He looked up, eyes shining, and said, “Go ahead, call me—make up for all the times you couldn’t these past four years.”

In that instant, a wave of warmth crashed over Shen Yu’s heart. For the first time, he truly felt it—Lin Hao was back. The Lin Hao who had given him so much warmth was really, truly back.
